Our History

Welcome to the Half Moon. In 1609 over 400 years ago, Henry Hudson sailed the Hudson River on his ship the Half Moon. Our Half Moon is dedicated to the beauty and history of this River.

Thank You for joining us on the voyage. Since 2008, The Half Moon has been serving American cuisine, using only the finest, locally sourced, meats poultry, provisions, Hudson Valley produce and fresh Montauk seafood.

HALF MOON is a casual, comfortable American Restaurant serving delicious Hudson Valley produce, the freshest Montauk seafood, ceviches, raw bar and classic hamburgers. The diverse menu offers American favorites, served with imagination and flair.

Executive chef Enrique Estrada relies on fish right-off-the-boat from Montauk and the surrounding area, as well as herbs and vegetables from our own garden. Inspired by delicious local ingredients he also creates seasonal specials throughout the year.
